The USS Power4 System


Combining state of the art EAS technology with advanced early detection tools, the USS Power4 System is the first one-of-a-kind security system that allows retailers to target everyday shoplifters along with professional Organized Retail Crime (ORC) perpetrators, all in one system. This first to market, revolutionary technology provides four levels of security and gives retailers advance notification of ORC activity, allowing stores to be proactive to prevent significant in-store losses.

Technology 1 - Advanced EAS Technology
The Power4 includes advanced Acousto-Magnetic (AM) technology designed to pick up all 58kHz AM tags and labels. In addition to its high pick rate, this system is also eco-friendly as it maintains a low emission rate.

Technology 2 - Booster Bag Detection
The Power4 renders the booster bag, a favorite tool of ORC criminals, useless. The system includes an early detection subsystem that triggers an alarm when a booster bag is detected. Digital signatures of booster bags are programmed into the computer’s memory which validates the response signal and triggers the chosen notification option as soon as a booster bag is within range. The system alerts store personnel via one or a combination of the available optional notifications listed below.

Technology 3 - Magnet Detection
This third level of security allows the Power4 to respond when a magnetic detacher is brought into the store by (ORC) criminals wanting to remove EAS tags from the merchandise they intend to steal. Like the booster bag detector, the system gives store personnel advanced warning when a magnetic detacher is within range of the system, via one or a combination of the available optional notifications listed below.

Technology 4 - Anti-Jamming Circuit
EAS jamming devices are now being used to stop EAS systems from alarming but the Power4 is also equipped with an anti-jamming alarm circuit which makes these jamming devices useless.

Notification
The Power4 can be equipped with these optional features to alert employees in several ways, at the discretion of the retailer.

When an alarm event occurs:
  • Voice Enunciation
  • An audible Alarm
  • Connection to an existing CCTV system
  • High intensity strobe lights
  • Pager notification
  • ***NEW*** Text message notification on up to 3 cell phones
