USS Announces the Next Big Thing in Physical Security

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif., (May 6, 2014) – USS has just announced a success in creating the first wireless LP network that can run independently from IT networks.

“Loss prevention managers no longer have to wait for IT approval to connect their systems,” said Gerald Becker, USS’ vice president of Physical Security. “You can now access a camera in New York, operate an Access Control System in Los Angeles, and run a report on an EAS pedestal in Chicago from wherever you are. And you can do all this without using any of your organization’s IT resources.”

Becker explained that USS’ Dynamic Physical Security works by installing a communication box at a retail location, which connects via a private 4G wireless network to a command center anywhere in the country. “This means LP managers no longer need to burden their organization’s IT infrastructure,” said Becker, “but it also means they no longer have to wait for IT’s approvals when bringing a new system online. You can now really move at the speed you want to.”

According to Becker, USS will reveal the new Dynamic Physical Security system at the NRF conference in Fort Lauderdale from June 11 to June 13, 2014. He indicated that private demonstrations can be requested through the company’s web site at www.UniversalEAS.com/nrf.
