San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon Assists USS Foundation in Delivering Thanksgiving Dinners to Families In Need In Fontana and Rancho Cucamonga
Rancho Cucamonga, CA- November 27, 2013 –– Having dedicated his life to protecting the citizens of San Bernardino County, San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon made sure over 100 Fontana and Rancho Cucamonga families in dire financial need will have Thanksgiving dinners this year. McMahon partnered with the USS Foundation to hand pack and deliver door-to-door complete Thanksgiving dinners with a large frozen turkey and packaged side dishes in neighborhoods and mobile home parks on November 25.
“I’m barely making ends meet and was trying to find a way to afford a Thanksgiving dinner,” said a recipient in Fontana. “My son and I were elated when we received the dinner. I can’t express how truly grateful we are for the blessings that the USS Foundation and the Sheriff’s Department brought us.”
“Our goal was to brighten the holiday for those who could not afford a celebration,” said USS Foundation Founder Adel Sayegh. “My heart goes out to these families who are challenged by economic issues yet still are so thankful for what they have. I know it’s my calling to reach out to them so they know others care.”
“Helping these grateful people was incredible,” said McMahon. “The Sheriff’s Department was very happy to be a part of the wonderful work being done by the USS Foundation. There are so many needs in the community to be met, and we are proud to be a part of making sure that these people will have a great Thanksgiving.”
This is the first year the USS Foundation has partnered with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department for this project. Funding for the dinners comes through the USS Foundation.
Founded by Adel Sayegh, president and CEO of Universal Surveillance Systems (USS), the USS Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping underprivileged children to have the tools, skills and knowledge to build a better life with a hope for a brighter tomorrow.
